登別市のＡＬＴを紹介します

ＡＬＴ（Ａｓｓｉｓｔａｎｔ　Ｌａｎｇｕａｇｅ　Ｔｅａｃｈｅｒの略）とは「外国語指導助手」のことで、
現在、登別市では英語圏の２カ国から４人の方々を採用して、市内の小・中学校に配属しています。

活動内容は、児童・生徒の英語教育の補助、教育教材の準備や英語暗唱大会のサポートなどの外国語活動を行っているほか、
一般市民向けの国際理解講座や英会話教室などの講師として、市民の方々との国際交流活動も積極的に行っています。

登別市の印象 Impression of Noboribetsu	登別市民の方々はとても優しく、風景もとても綺麗で素晴らしい市だと思います。北海道についた時から登別市の方に手助けをしてもらっており、とても感謝しています。登別市に来てよかったです。	The people of Noboribetsu are very kind and there is very beautiful scenery here. I’m very thankful that the people of Noboribetsu helped me when I arrived in Hokkaido. I’m glad to come to Noboribetsu.

自己紹介 Self-introduction	登別に住んで、さまざまな小学校で教えて３年目になります。北海道に住むことができて嬉しいです。登別に住み、現在の学校で教えることはとても幸運だと思います。私の最初の１年は、すばらしいアドベンチャーでした。そしてこれからの１年間何が待っているか楽しみです。	This is my third year living and teaching at the various elementary schools in Noboribetsu. I love living in Hokkaido. I feel very fortunate to live in Noboribetsu and teach at my current schools. My first year was an amazing adventure and I’m looking forward to what this year has in store.

登別市の印象 Impression of Noboribetsu	この街の人たちが好きです。すべての人が思いやりの心を持っています。秋はとても美しくて、冬には露天風呂に入って楽しんでいます。登別の中学校で働くことが楽しく、かわいい生徒たちから活力をもらっています。	I love the people here. There is such a warm feeling from everyone. Autumn here is so beautiful, and I also enjoy sitting in the “rotenburo” in winter. I love working here at Junior high schools; my cute students give me energy.

I’m from Auckland in New Zealand. It’s a big city, so I enjoy living in a quieter place like Noboribetsu. The autumn leaves are so beautiful. 登別市の印象 Impression of Noboribetsu	私の出身と比べると、登別市はとても小さく、静かな町だと思います。こんなに綺麗な緑の森や山などの景色にびっくりしました。フィリピンにいた時にも、海の近くに住んでいたので少し懐かしいです。今まで出会った人々はとても優しく、面白く、いつも私を手伝ってくれるので安心して嬉しいです。登別市の皆さん、そして登別の事をもっともっと知っていきたいので、これからの１年間、何が起こるか楽しみにしています。	If I compare it to my hometown in the States, Noboribetsu is a very small and quiet town. When I first came here, I was surprised by how pretty and green the forests and mountains here are. It’s also a little nostalgic for me, because back when I was still in the Philippines, I used to live near the ocean as well. The people I’ve met up until now have been very kind, interesting, and always willing to help me, so I feel relieved and happy. I want to get to know the people and area of Noboribetsu more and more, so I’m looking forward to what could be in store for me this upcoming year.

I was born in the Philippines but moved to and lived in America up until July of this year.
